Terms of Service

By submitting a project or placing a bid on YouGotOutbid you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What you are buying

A bid is a purchase of placement on a public leaderboard. Your position is determined solely by the amount of your confirmed bid relative to other confirmed bids. Nothing is wagered, drawn or won.YouGotOutbid is not a lottery, a game of chance, a competition with prizes, or an investment product, and no monetary return is offered or implied.

Rankings

• The highest confirmed bid holds position #1.
• Ties are resolved in favour of the bid confirmed earlier.
• Only payments confirmed by Stripe affect rankings.
• Your position can be taken at any time by anyone willing to pay more. There is no minimum holding period.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. All amounts are in USD and are charged in whole dollars. Bids are non-refundable once completed — see the Refund Policy.

Your content

You must own or have permission to submit the project name, logo, description and links you provide, and they must not be unlawful, deceptive, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringing. You grant us a licence to display that content on the leaderboard, project pages, share cards and social previews.

Moderation

We may remove or disable any listing that is fraudulent, impersonating, illegal or abusive. Removal for a terms breach does not entitle you to a refund. Where a listing is removed through no fault of yours, contact us.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim arose.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. Do not use the service where it would be unlawful.
